Harbor Homes becomes first healthcare organization in New Hampshire to utilize OARS technology to improve treatment for opioid use disorder

BOSTON,  /PRNewswire/ -- Q2i announces that New Hampshire-based Harbor Homes and member of the Partnership for Successful Living, is test piloting the Opioid Addiction Recovery Support (OARS) mobile app to support patients in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs. According to the CDC, New Hampshire (along with West Virginia and Ohio) is among the highest rates of death due to drug overdose.

"The Partnership for Successful Living (PSL) prides itself in maintaining high standards of healthcare, and supportive services that are evidence-based, best practices. We are test piloting the OARS technology to help drive improvements in addressing the opioid crisis and to advance the quality of care we provide to our patients in recovery. Our hope is that the OARS mobile app will help our care teams expand supportive services by offering cutting edge technological supports, in order to continue improving outcomes for our patients fighting addiction," stated Jonathan Brown, Clinic Director.

OARS is designed to result in fewer relapses, reduced inpatient admissions/ readmissions, reduced overdose incidents and ER visits. One of the many features of OARS is that it enables healthcare teams to understand and respond to patients' progress in real-time and provides highly effective data analysis tools that help identify trends and flag areas of concern for action/intervention.

Peter Kelleher, the CEO of the PSL agencies said, "Our hope is that the OARS app will provide our multidisciplinary healthcare team with actionable data that will result in increased levels of insight and improve communication with our patients."

Steven Jenkins, Q2i CEO said "Our goal at Q2i is to improve the success of MAT programs by developing and providing leading edge technology for healthcare teams and their patients, and in doing so, help increase the availability and access for treatment for people with opioid use disorder. We are extremely pleased to be working with Harbor Homes, an agency which is leading the fight against opioid addiction."
