Established to promote the importance of early detection of breast cancer, IOH is centered around the newly designed www.imagesofhealth.com which focuses on the sharing of inspirational stories to drive donations to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). New this year, Fujifilm is introducing Retratos de Salud, a Spanish-language version of the program including a Spanish-language website. The company's host of other IOH initiatives include the donation of a Full Field Digital Mammography (FFDM) system and the introduction of a new Pink Digital Camera Bundle.

Hispanics are the nation's largest and fastest growing minority group. Fujifilm expanded Images of Health with the introduction of Retratos de Salud, focusing on increasing awareness about early detection. The website, retratosdesalud.com, features a facility locator that offers a searchable list of mammography screening facilities providing Spanish-speaking technologists or interpreting services. There is also a downloadable, printable brochure and access to a wide range of mammography and breast health information and resources in Spanish. Studies show that only 38 percent of Hispanic women age 40 and older have regular screening mammograms(1), and breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among Hispanic women in the United States(2).

"Early detection remains the best tool in the fight against breast cancer, so Fujifilm is committed to spreading that message and getting resources in the hands of as many women and their families as possible," explains Courtney Kraemer, Manager, Corporate Communications, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A. "By expanding the Images of Health program with the introduction of Retratos de Salud, we hope to increase the awareness about and comfort level with mammography to ultimately drive more women to get their annual mammogram."

Sharing Fujifilm's dedication to the cause is the National Breast Cancer Foundation, based in Frisco, Texas, a partner of Images of Health since its inception. At the newly redesigned www.imagesofhealth.com Fujifilm is encouraging users of the site to share their inspirational stories about breast cancer, the importance of mammography, and advice for healthy living. Fujifilm will donate $1 for each story shared, $2 for each story with a photo posted, and $2 for each video, with a commitment of up to $50,000 going to the NBCF. Additionally, Fujifilm will donate its Aspire ClearView Full Field Digital Mammography (FFDM) system, seeking together with the NBCF - to bring advanced imaging technology to a healthcare facility that currently does not offer digital.

The final piece of the IOH initiative is the introduction of the Fujifilm FinePix Z70 pink digital camera bundle. Available at www.ShopFujifilm.com, the bundle includes a digital camera in berry, a stylish multi-colored camera pouch, a digital photo frame keychain, and a coupon for a free customizable cafe mug from Fujifilm's SeeHere.com. The introduction of the camera also supports the NBCF.
