Detroit-Area Life Sciences Firm Pledges More Than $250,000 in Employee Hours to Local Volunteer Initiatives
Published: Oct 05, 2018
CANTON, Mich. /PRNewswire/ -- MMS Holdings, Inc. (MMS) – award-winning, data-focused CRO – announced today its renewed dedication to the local communities surrounding Detroit and Ann Arbor by allocating a substantial amount of colleague time to volunteer initiatives over the next year. Re-launched as part of its #OneMMS campaign, the value of this investment locally is worth $251,640.
Through the program, MMS employees are able to set time aside during the work day for charitable initiatives of their own choosing.
"We truly value each and every one of our colleagues, and we care about what is important to them," said Michelle Gayari, Executive Director, Global Operations, MMS. "We have a great group of people who genuinely want to give back. Allowing colleagues to choose their own volunteer initiatives amongst the communities in which they live, work, and play was well received."
This recommitment to their volunteer program was announced and a central focus of the company's 9th Annual Scientific Symposium, hosted at its headquarters yesterday.
"This is a fundamental shift in the way that many companies approach volunteer initiatives. Colleagues who choose their own charity to support will generally be more apt to follow through and make the most out of the program," said Samantha Foksa, Associate Manager, HR & Administration.
A volunteer program has been in place at MMS for nine years. Stay up-to-date with news and volunteer initiatives by following MMS at: www.linkedin.com/company/mms-holdings-inc-
