Darren Taylor Named President and CEO of Government Employees Health Association, Inc. (GEHA)

LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo., /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of GEHA has announced that following a nationwide search Darren Taylor has been selected as President and Chief Executive Officer. Taylor had been serving as GEHA's interim President and CEO since October 2018 and was previously in the position of Chief Operating Officer.

GEHA's Board of Directors said, "Darren was selected to lead the organization because of his strong industry knowledge, success as a business manager and thoughtful, effective leadership style. He has demonstrated the expertise and ability to lead GEHA forward in a dynamic health care environment in a way that will best serve our members."

Taylor brings more than 26 years of health care industry experience to the role. Prior to joining GEHA in 2017, he was President and Founder of a health care analytics company. Taylor spent the first 20 years of his career in various leadership roles with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City. A life-long Kansas City area resident, he currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Mid-America Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
