Columbia University's Jeannette Wing Named Feature Speaker at 2019 Internet2 Global Summit

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jeannette M. Wing, Avanessians Director of the Data Science Institute and professor of computer science at Columbia University, will serve as a featured keynote speaker at the 2019 Internet2 Global Summit event. The talk, entitled “Data for Good: Data Science at Columbia,” will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at the Marriott Marquis Washington DC.

Wing will address how the recent convergence of big data, cloud computing, and novel machine learning algorithms and statistical methods are causing an explosive interest in data science and its applicability to all fields.
