Catalent Pharma Solutions Applied Drug Delivery Institute Launches 2nd Annual Global Academic Competition for Life Sciences Leaders of Tomorrow
“The Global Academic Competition reflects the commitment of The Institute to foster education, collaboration, and adoption of drug delivery technologies to develop better treatments for patients,” stated Kurt Nielsen, Ph.D., Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Catalent Pharma Solutions. “We are pleased that so many prominent schools have already joined the program, and look forward to more joining.”
Participating institutions includes Purdue University, St. John’s University, Rutgers University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Düsseldorf, Germany, and University of Bristol, U.K. Entries from students enrolled at these and other universities are encouraged before the submission deadline on February 22, 2013.
Entries should take the form of an original review article based on topics such as drug development, delivery technologies, improving therapeutic profiles and bioavailability, pre-formulation, or on the delivery of drugs to certain patient groups such as pediatrics. Winning students will receive scholarships as well as publication and internship opportunities.
