Bright Health to enter Ohio Medicare Advantage Market in Exclusive Partnership with Mercy Health

MINNEAPOLIS, July 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Bright Health announced its plan to offer Medicare Advantage plans in Cincinnati, Springfield, Youngstown and Toledo, making Ohio the newest market addition to Bright Health's exclusive Care Partner Health Plan collaborations. Bright Health filed paperwork with the federal government to begin offering 2019 Medicare Advantage plans in Ohio during this fall's annual enrollment period.
Bright Health is partnering with Mercy Health, whose clinically integrated network coordinates effective and efficient care for more than 350,000 patients today. This partnership provides Bright Health customers with access to Mercy Health's provider network, offering seamless care delivery to ensure high quality medical care at lower costs. Mercy Health has 20 hospitals and more than 2,700 primary and specialty care providers at 500 locations across Ohio. This unique collaboration between Bright Health and Mercy Health offers Medicare Advantage plans to Ohioans that are affordable, provide comprehensive benefits, and achieve real outcomes using data-driven, clinically-coordinated care.

Bright Health received conditional approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ("CMS") for its Ohio Medicare Advantage plans.
