BioIndustry Association Welcomes the Appointment of John Brown as Chairman of the Cell Therapy Catapult

12 September 2012 -- The BioIndustry Association (BIA) welcomes today's appointment by the Technology Strategy Board of Dr John Brown as Chairman of the Cell Therapy Catapult centre. Dr Brown is a member of the BIA Board.

Steve Bates, BIA Chief Executive Officer said:

"John brings excellent skills and a wealth of experience from the biotechnology sector to the role. He will ensure the Catapult helps make the UK a global leader in cell therapy where science is translated into potential treatments for patients.

"John's presence on our Board and as Chair of the Catapult will make sure that strong links are developed and maintained between the two organisations."
