Bioheart, Inc. Presents at American Association of Blood Banks Conference in Boston

SUNRISE, FL--(Marketwire - October 11, 2012) - Bioheart, Inc. (OTCQB: BHRT) presented at the 2012 annual AABB (formerly the American Association of Blood Banks) conference in Boston, MA. Bioheart's Chief Science Officer, Kristin Comella, was invited to present about autologous adult cell-based therapies in a section directed by the International Cellular Medicine Society (ICMS). Earlier this year, the ICMS and AABB announced they will work jointly to develop standards for the collection, processing and administration of autologous adult cells. Ms. Comella is part of the ICMS standard committee which will help to review and develop these standards as well as an accreditation program.

"We were pleased to participate in the AABB conference and believe that the AABB/ICMS standards and accreditation program will help to standardize the field. Bioheart can contribute to the process over a decade of experience with developing cell therapies," said Mike Tomas, CEO of Bioheart.
