Airgas Healthcare Receives Innovative Technology Designation from Vizient for INTELLI-OX™
RADNOR, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Airgas Healthcare, the specialized healthcare brand of Airgas, an Air Liquide company, announced that its INTELLI-OX™ portable medical oxygen cylinder has received a 2017 Innovative Technology designation from Vizient, Inc., the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the country. The designation was based on direct feedback from hospital representatives who interacted with the INTELLI-OX oxygen cylinder at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange in Denver. This is the first U.S. award received for the INTELLI-OX design.
The INTELLI-OX integrated medical oxygen cylinder features an advanced digital gauge to clearly and easily show the remaining time left at a given flow rate. It includes an integrated valve and regulator assembly, lightweight aluminum cylinder as well as visual and audible alerts when the cylinder is nearly empty and needs to be replaced. Measurements are provided in volume, pressure and time increments, simplifying readouts and eliminating guesswork for care providers.
