Adeptus Health Appoints James Hopwood as its Chief Financial Officer

IRVING, Texas, Feb. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Adeptus Health, a leading patient-centered healthcare services organization, announced that James Hopwood has been appointed as its new Chief Financial Officer. Hopwood officially joined Adeptus on October 15, 2018.

Hopwood comes to Adeptus with over 30 years of experience, including executive and financial management positions in the healthcare industry. He will lead the Company's finance and accounting teams including all financial operations, tax and reporting.  Hopwood's contributions will further Adeptus' focus on profitability and growth as Adeptus seeks to expand access to the highest quality medical care through its innovative delivery model of hospital satellite emergency departments, freestanding emergency rooms and smart-sized hospitals.

Since 2014, Hopwood has been serving as Chief Financial Officer of Promise Healthcare Group, LLC. Prior to joining Promise, he served as a Managing Director at Focus Management Group, providing turnaround expertise to healthcare clients. Previously, he served as CFO of Wickes Lumber Company, a publicly traded distribution company. He began his career as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co. Hopwood holds an undergraduate degree with honors from Western Illinois University and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
