USPTO Declines To Institute All Inter Partes Review Petitions Filed By CFAD Of INSYS U.S. Patents Directed To SUBSYS (Fentanyl Sublingual Spray)

PHOENIX, March 10, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Insys Therapeutics, Inc. (“Insys” or “the Company”) (NASDAQ:INSY) today announced that the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) declined to institute an inter partes review of U.S. Patent Nos. 8,486,972, 8,835,459 and 8,835,460, which cover the fentanyl formulation of SUBSYS® (fentanyl sublingual spray).

In addition to the four U.S. patents granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Insys was recently granted one additional U.S. Patent 9,241,935 covering the SUBSYS formulation, further strengthening the SUBSYS patent estate.
