Houston, TX -- Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center of Alamogordo, N.M. will implement the Digisonics structured reporting software for OB/GYN ultrasound studies. Digisonics’ vendor-neutral structured reporting system will integrate seamlessly with Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center’s AGFA PACS via an API to produce OB/GYN structured reports and perform fetal growth analysis. A web-based add-on will provide the hospital’s users with fully-functional remote reading capabilities for their OB/GYN ultrasound studies.

OBLink modules and Digisonics DICOM Gateway software will efficiently transmit patient information and biometry from the facility’s Philips HD 11 ultrasound system to the Digisonics structured reporting software for OB/GYN ultrasound. HL7 interfaces for Orders In and Results Out will create a fully electronic workflow between the hospital’s Cerner Millennium and Athena Health systems and the Digisonics OB/GYN structured reporting system. A PDF export interface will push PDF format structured reports to their Cerner Millennium EMR for easy review. As a result of the Digisonics interfaces, Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center will benefit from a fully integrated electronic workflow for the most accurate and timely OB/GYN ultrasound report turnaround.
