Collaborations in Clinical Research is hosting its next educational networking event on Oct. 24th, 2017. The topic is on Practical Uses of Electronic Health Records (EHR) in Clinical Trials. The interactive panel discussion will take place in Palo Alto and includes clinical trial experts from TrinetX, RealHealthData, Protocol First and Abbott Vascular.

Panelists include Dr. Manfred Stapff, Chief Medical Officer at TriNetX, the Global Health Research Network for Healthcare Organizations, BioPharma and CROs; Hugh Levaux, Founder and CEO of EDC Platform for Next-Generation Clinical Trials Protocol First; Manuel Prado, Founder of RealHealthData, a company that provides real-world health care insights derived from medical transcription documents.

The discussion will be moderated by Kunal Sampat, Senior Manager Clinical Research at Abbott Vascular and founder of the Clinical Trial Podcast. The panel will take an in-depth look at the different types of electronic health records that are currently available: ICD -10 codes, electronic medical records (medical history, treatments, test results, diagnosis, medications taken) and physician narratives.
