ApneaRx®, a prescription device, is now recognized by Medicare to be highly effective and is now being reimbursed under HCPCS Code E0485 prefabricated oral appliance. To qualify - patients must be diagnosed with mild to moderate sleep apnea, or be CPAP intolerant. Major health insurance companies that also reimburse are: Aetna, Anthem, BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare and others. Since all insurance plan benefits vary and change over time, the patient's insurance provider should be contacted to confirm its specific coverage policies.
