Coronary Artery Calcium Helps Predict Heart Attack Risk, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Study

Time -- For decades now, heart researchers have been tallying a list of risk factors that can increase the development of heart disease: smoking, being overweight, having high cholesterol, having high blood pressure or being diabetic. And, of this list, half of all Americans have one of the last three — and most common — culprits, according to a report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention this week.
