Known as a hub of innovation of all kinds, there’s an abundance of biotech jobs in San Francisco.

Located in the Biotech Bay region, the city is renowned for its vibrant biotech and life sciences community and provides a rich ecosystem of scientific expertise, talent and a bevy of networking opportunities. 

The presence of prestigious universities and research institutions in the area, such as Stanford University and the University of California, San Francisco, presents opportunities for collaboration. 

The area boasts a well-developed infrastructure to support the biotechs. This includes state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, incubators, accelerators and shared research spaces. Nurix, headquartered in Biotech Bay, is seeking a senior scientist in discovery biology, a cell screening specialist and a senior research associate in medicinal chemistry, among others.

AbbVie’s mission focuses on discovering and delivering innovative medicines to address serious health issues. The company works in diverse subject matter, including immunology, oncology, neuroscience, eye care, virology, women’s health and gastroenterology, in addition to its Allergan portfolio. 

AbbVie is hiring senior scientists in chemistry and pharmacology, a senior innovation manager and an associate director in immuno-oncology, among others.
