Some Eczema Treatments Better Than Others; Study Finds Tacrolimus Ointment More Effective Than Pimecrolimus Cream
Tacrolimus ointment is more effective than pimecrolimus cream for treating children and adults with atopic dermatitis -- better known as eczema.
That finding was presented July 29 at a meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology in New York City.
The six-week study of 1,056 people with mild to severe eczema also found there was no statistical difference between the treatments in terms of burning and stinging.
