Biotech Alley; Life Sciences Promise Holds Its Lure
The hot button for continuing research development hereabout remains the "life sciences." Hardly is the grand opening past for the new University of Missouri Life Sciences Center when another push gains publicity and momentum. Sen. Kit Bond was in town the other day to lend his considerable clout to the development of a research and new business incubator near the MU Research Reactor. Bond has produced millions for development of research facilities on the MU campus, and he’s in the process of getting another grant for the incubator. Of course, his visit was scheduled with his re-election campaign in mind, but that’s the blessing of incumbency, a natural science in itself.
