COLUMBUS, Ohio (June 19, 2014) – METTLER TOLEDO is proud to announce the introduction of Good Melting and Dropping Point Practice™ (GMDP). GMDP is a five-step guideline which covers the entire life cycle of instruments and helps to improve quality while reducing risk and costs.

Eliminating Risk – Reducing Running Costs

Measuring melting point is a common and easy analysis but things can go wrong. The same goes for dropping point and softening point measurement. METTLER TOLEDO aims to assist customers in reducing errors, getting accurate results quickly and enhancing their overall lab performance. At the same time significant running cost reduction can be achieved if the instrumentation is selected according to a risk-based evaluation of the application process and is professionally commissioned, installed, maintained and calibrated. With the risk check, a tool for analyzing possible sources of error in melting or dropping/softening point measurement, major risks can easily be determined and weighted.

Easy Five Step Approach

GMDP makes sure that the right equipment is used in a suitable environment by appropriately trained operators. Risks associated with these measurements are diminished thanks to a comprehensive and professional guideline.
