2014 Green Rankings, one of the world's foremost corporate environmental rankings. In its third appearance on the list, Sigma-Aldrich ranked number five out of 500 U.S. corporations, putting the St. Louis
-based life science company in the top 1 percent for environmental performance.

At number five on the nationwide list, Sigma-Aldrich was one of the highest-ranking companies among its peer group.
