CoreRx Expands Clinical Trial Supplies Manufacturing And Packaging

CLEARWATER, FL, USA (May 20, 2014) – CoreRx, a leader in early drug development and clinical manufacturing has expanded clinical trial supplies manufacturing and packaging capabilities to include several new pieces of equipment and a new fully-automated packaging line.
To complement existing expertise in oral delivery systems, CoreRx has added several new pieces of equipment to include both an IMA Zanasi 40F and IMA Zanasi 40E (capsule-filling machines), a Thomas 36” Coating pan system (with 24” and 36” pans), a Fette 1200 tablet machine, a TurboFil Liquid vial-filling and capping line as well as a TurboFil syringe-filling line. In addition the company has purchased a tablet/capsule printing system, horizontal stick packaging machine and a blister packaging machine. These new pieces enable production, coating and encapsulation as well as providing a larger variety of packaging options.

In addition, CoreRx has added a fully-automated oral solids packaging line (including ink-jet coding) for primary bottling of tablets, capsules and stick pack powders. The new packaging line complements the company’s existing oral liquids filling line and further enhances the speed at which batches are packaged, shortens timelines, and enhances CoreRx’s ability to package larger batches of drug product.
