The lecture will focus on urinary bladder matrix (UBM) technology as the next generation in complex wound management by closing chronic wounds and achieving positive clinical outcomes where other advanced therapies have failed. The lecture aims to leverage the clinical community's broad experience with urinary bladder matrix to expand awareness and understanding of how it can be used to achieve improved outcomes in both wound care and surgical applications.
Prominent podiatric surgeon Dr. Cameron Field, DPM, ABPS, of the Department of Podiatric Surgery at the Denver Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, will lead the lecture and discuss the unique differentiators of porcine-derived UBM technology for chronic wounds, his clinical experiences and case study examples, as well as a review of a retrospective study of recalcitrant wounds he conducted that was published in the Journal of Wound Care.
