/PRNewswire/ -- Aquavit Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a New York
-based technology-driven life science company, officially launched its cutting-edge device, AQUAGOLD®
fine touch today at the annual meeting for the American Academy of Dermatology, the world's largest dermatology meeting.
AQUAGOLD® fine touch is an innovative device incorporating microneedles smaller than a human hair to deliver a substantial volume of medication directly into the dermis. It delivers medication in a pain-free and non-traumatic fashion to sensitive areas on the face, hands and elsewhere on the body. It is a first-of-its-kind, FDA and CE registered, GMP manufactured, direct dermal application technology.
"AQUAGOLD® fine touch reduces the risk of bruising and swelling, allowing treatment around the mouth, eyes and other areas that are hard to treat with traditional methods of delivery," said Dr. David Goldberg, Chief Medical Officer.
The technology addresses the unmet needs of the 11 billion dollar medical aesthetics market and the 30 billion dollar vitamin and mineral market.
"Based on growing patient interest, I use it with microbotox, hyaluronic acid-based fillers and vitamin combinations," said Dr. David Shafer, Chief Medical Technology Officer.
At this meeting, Aquavit is also providing a sneak preview of its next generation advanced smart auto-injector and is accepting applications for clinical investigators.
"Launching AQUAGOLD® fine touch is a major milestone for our company. We have been extremely focused on our technological innovations in personalized medicine and we have been overwhelmed with the positive responses we have received at this meeting today," said Sobin Chang, CEO of Aquavit Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
