GenVec Announces $9 Million Registered Direct Offering

/PRNewswire/ -- GenVec, Inc. (NASDAQ: GNVC) ("GenVec") today announced it has agreed to sell approximately $9 million
of shares of its common stock to selected institutional investors in a registered direct offering at a price of $3.15
per share. In the offering, GenVec will issue approximately 2,870,000 shares of its common stock. The closing of the offering is expected to take place on or about March 18, 2014
, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
Roth Capital Partners and H.C. Wainwright & Co., LLC are acting as placement agents in connection with the offering. The net proceeds of the offering will be used for operating costs, working capital, and general corporate purposes.
