(NASDAQ: HALO) announced today the closing of its previously announced public offering of 8,846,153 shares of common stock, including 1,153,846 shares sold pursuant to the underwriters' full exercise of their option to purchase additional shares, at a price to the public of $13.00
per share. Halozyme's net proceeds from this offering are expected to be approximately $107.8 million
, after deducting the underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated expenses.
J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Citigroup acted as joint book-running managers for the offering. Piper Jaffray and BMO Capital Markets acted as co-managers for the offering.
Halozyme intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to fund research and development of proprietary programs, including the potential acceleration of the PEGPH20 program, and for other general corporate purposes.
