Deloitte To Present On tranSMART Open-Source Platform At Integrated R&D Informatics And Knowledge Management Conference

Wakefield, Massachusetts - February 10, 2014 - ThetranSMARTFoundation, a non-profit organization providing a global, open-source knowledge management platform for scientists to share pre-competitive translational research data, today announced that its Gold-level sponsor, Deloitte, will be presenting use cases of the tranSMART platform at the Cambridge Healthtech Institute's Sixth Annual Integrated R&D Informatics & Knowledge Management Conference being held February 9-14, 2014 in San Francisco, Calif.

Dr. Asif Dhar, director of Deloitte Health Informatics, will be giving the presentation titled "tranSMART: Use cases from deployments highlighting emerging models for pre-competitive collaboration and open source sustainability". The presentation will be held at 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11.

"Deloitte has been an integral partner in advancing the tranSMART platform and leveraging the open-source software for specific translational medicine projects," said tranSMART Foundation CEO Keith Elliston. "This presentation will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to better understand the capabilities of the platform and the power of collaboration, as well as to learn about future plans for sustainability and enhancement of the platform."
