Diagnostic medical device manufacturer Neuro Kinetics Inc. (NKI) (www.neuro-kinetics.com
) said today that industry veteran Michael Saporito has been appointed as its chief financial officer.
The company also said that Robert Kampmeinert has been elected to its board of directors.
NKI CEO and President Howison Schroeder said both bring professional experience that will help accelerate the company's growth strategy.
"Mike Saporito has served as an executive at a number of privately held and public companies, large and small, including in the medical device industry. That diversity of experience will be a great resource for us as we move forward," Schroeder said. "Mike knows how to position a growing company for success."
Saporito's most recent post was as vice president at the LifeVest division of Zoll Medical. He helped lead the turnaround of LifeVest and its subsequent acquisition by Zoll.
Other previous positions include with start-up TrueCommerce and with Cisco Systems and Perot Systems. Saporito holds a degree in finance from West Virginia University.
Robert Kampmeinert retired in 2010 as chairman of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a major investment and investment banking firm headquartered in Philadelphia. From 1985 to 2005 he was chairman and CEO of Parker/Hunter Incorporated, a regional investment firm headquartered in Pittsburgh. Parker/Hunter merged with Janney in 2005. Kampmeinert has served and currently serves on several boards of public and private companies as well as non-profit institutions. He graduated with a B.S. in economics from Lehigh University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
