Eli Lilly and Company (LLY) Celebrates 18th Consecutive Year as One of Working Mother's 100 Best Companies

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY) once again has earned a place among the Working Mother magazine "100 Best Companies" of 2012. This is the 18th consecutive year for this honor.

For 27 years, the Working Mother 100 Best Companies initiative selects the nation's top companies for family-friendly benefits, including flex-time hours, paid time off, company culture and work life programs. 

"Lilly has an extensive record of creating a working environment that empowers employees to balance professional and personal life responsibilities," said Stephen Fry, senior vice president of human resources and diversity. Benefit-related programs include on-site child care, resources and referrals, on-site summer camp, back-up care, paid maternity leave, adoption assistance, support groups, on-site conveniences, health services, nursing mother stations and support and development programs for field-based female employees.

Companies were selected for the honor based on an extensive application with more than 650 questions, including data on the access and usage of flexible work arrangements, parental leave, childcare, health and wellness support and the advancement of women to all levels of management.

Lilly will be honored at this year's Working Mother 100 Best Companies Work Life Congress Oct. 8-10, in New York City.
