Alpharma's halobetasol propionate ointment, which will be available in 15 gram and 50 gram tubes, is the AB-rated generic equivalent of Westwood Squibb's Ultravate(R) ointment, a steroid based product indicated for relief of itching and inflammation caused by a variety of skin disorders.
