INC Research, Inc. Bolsters CNS Team with Tom Zoda as Senior Vice President, Neuropsychiatry

Raleigh, NC, June 23, 2009 – INC Research ®, Inc., a therapeutically-focused contract research organization (CRO) with a process for delivering reliable results, today announced the addition of Tom Zoda, PhD, as senior vice president of Neuropsychiatry to its esteemed Central Nervous System (CNS) team. In this role, Dr. Zoda provides senior level oversight of all psychiatry and neurology projects on a global basis, including business development support, and drive overall growth of the CNS division.

Prior to joining INC Research, Dr. Zoda worked for PPD, Inc. for more than a decade. Most recently as executive director for Global Strategic Development, CNS he helped plan and direct multiple studies, including multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ADHD, chronic and acute pain, and various psychiatric disorders. He has also managed large multi-center trials in the areas of gastrointestinal disorders, transplantation, insomnia, anxiety, and schizophrenia for the North American division. Before joining PPD, Dr. Zoda worked for Tanox Biosystems, Inc., overseeing the development of therapeutic antibodies and vaccines for the treatment of allergy. He earned his doctoral degree in microbiology, specializing in immunology, at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, followed by postdoctoral work at Dartmouth Medical College.
