PRINCETON, N.J., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- PharmaNet, (http://www.pharmanet.com/) an international drug development company, announced the appointment of Grant N. Ko, MD, to Senior Medical Director, Neuroscience Division.
A board-certified psychiatrist with more than 12 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Ko has a broad range of experience with clinical trials in psychiatric and behavioral neurosciences. Prior to joining PharmaNet, Dr. Ko was Senior Director, CNS and Analgesia for Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development where he was responsible for the successful European filing of Risperdal(R) for the behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia. Dr. Ko has also held senior-level positions with Schering-Plough and Pfizer in addition to academic positions. He has served as Chief of Psychiatry, Brooklyn Veterans Affairs Medical Center and remains on faculty as Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry, New York University.

Dr. Ko earned his bachelor of science degree with honors in biology and was awarded his medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. He conducted his psychiatric residency at Yale University and was appointed as a Senior Staff Fellow of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Schizophrenia Research Branch.
