Cosman Medical Introduces G4 Four-Output RF Generator for Pain Management

Cosman Medical -- United States of America (Press Release) October 30, 2008 -- (Burlington, Mass., USA) Cosman Medical announces the addition of the G4 Radiofrequency Generator to its existing line of products for the interventional treatment of chronic back pain. The Cosman G4 generator provides automatic temperature control for up to four radiofrequency (RF) electrodes at the same time. Its large touch screen interface allows doctors to preset treatment settings specialized to RF targets throughout the spine. Data export and printing functions automate electronic record keeping, thus saving time for the busy clinician.
"In a modern RF generator, new features should not make the unit difficult to understand. Pain doctors need a device that can support a wide and growing array of RF treatment methods, with an interface that is simple, fast, and that does not require extensive training," said Eric Cosman Jr., Ph.D., chief designer of the G4 generator. “The automated control of four RF electrodes significantly reduces the treatment time, improving patient care and reducing costs for a pain clinic.”
