ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 26 — St. Croix Regional Medical Center (St. Croix Falls, Wis.,) ordered CARESTREAM Vue RIS+PACS+Reporting to streamline access to information and images for on-site and off-site physicians. Carestream’s RIS+PACS+Reporting offers powerful scheduling capabilities, advanced reading and data sharing tools and smooth integration with a NextGen EMR.
“Carestream’s Vue RIS and PACS are each powerful platforms, but together they can deliver an integrated solution that will help expedite the reading, reporting and sharing of imaging studies and reports,” said Kathy Coffman, the hospital’s Radiology Director. “Carestream’s Vue Motion vendor-neutral viewer will also offer convenient mobile access to images and reports to our clinicians and referring physicians.”
She added that Carestream’s integrated voice recognition and advanced diagnostic tools that expedite and enhance the reading of 3D exams were also important factors in the purchasing decision.
St. Croix Regional Medical Center operates an urgent care center and five clinics in St. Croix Falls and surrounding communities.
Carestream’s Web-based Vue RIS automates the imaging process from order entry to results distribution, which can reduce errors and improve patient care. Embedded voice recognition can facilitate easier, faster reporting from any location. Carestream's RIS is certified as an EMR module and is one of the first standalone RIS platforms to satisfy Stage 1 meaningful use requirements. The software's broad functionality can eliminate the need to purchase and integrate multiple third-party systems.
CARESTREAM Vue PACS offers integrated advanced visualization, 3D post processing, dictation, critical results notification and a mammography module that eliminates the need for dedicated workstations. Native voice recognition, a single sign-on and structured and user-defined reports with embedded patient data combine to take the complexity and manual entry out of diagnostic reporting.
CARESTREAM Vue Motion provides easy access to imaging data and patient information stored on a PACS or archive using only a Web browser or EMR portal. The viewer has FDA clearance for use with Apple iPads and requires no local installation or software downloads. It is accessible from almost any Web-enabled device and is able to display DICOM or non-DICOM data stored in PACS or archives from Carestream or other vendors.
