GE Corporation (GE) Invests $7.5 Million in Sydney Medical Device Start-up

SYDNEY-based medical device startup Nanosonic says GE has invested $7.5 million to further develop and distribute its Trophon EPR ultrasound transducer disinfecting system. The investment is being made through the GE healthymagination Fund, which makes investments in healthcare technology companies. The core technology of Nanosonic is a fast, safe and eco-friendly ultrasound probe disinfection system, which takes seven minutes to complete the process, including the shaft and handle of the probe.
