The Mouse Brain Architecture Project is an ongoing endeavor to map neural connectivity in the mouse brain using a systematic, high-throughput process. This process involves labeling a mouse brain region with suitable neuronal tracers, followed by tissue imaging using Hamamatsu's NanoZoomer2.0-HT whole-slide scanners, and then 3D reconstruction of the scanned 2D images. Since the project's start in 2009, two NanoZoomer2.0-HT scanners have imaged over 400,000 slide-mounted tissues and proven their reliability. The scanners convert glass slides into digital slides quickly and accurately, generating high-quality digital images.
