March 22, 2012 -- Bio-Images Group, a Scottish company which provides drug delivery solutions to the global pharmaceutical and healthcare market, is accelerating its already dynamic drive towards international expansion.
The Glasgow based company is looking to appoint a global business development executive to co-ordinate its push for increased market share, generate new business leads and deliver an aggressive growth strategy.
The group, which includes Bio-Images Research, an established leader in the clinical study of pharmaceuticals, and its sister company Drug Delivery International (DDi), is already operating in an international environment.
Dr Carol Thomson, DDi's chief operating officer and one of the longest serving members of the team, said that the new post would allow the company to take its carefully constructed global strategy to a new level.
She said: "The group is involved in significantly diverse marketplaces and we are looking for an individual who will exhibit inherent diversity of thought and independently-minded business development skills.
"The post will involve extensive international travel and the successful candidate will be representing the values and unique skills of Bio-Images Group and the growing IP portfolio of Drug Delivery International."
The new post will build on the appointment at the end of last year of a new director of regulatory affairs, Dr Sarah Connolly, and the addition of two new full-time posts to the group's clinical research team. These posts were designed to maintain the highest level of ethical and regulatory standards as the company's pipeline of clinical studies steadily increases.
Bio-Images already has an impressive customer base comprising some of the largest pharma companies and is at the forefront of providers of gamma scintigraphy imaging services, which allow major multi-national pharma companies to outsource some of their clinical research.
