King of Prussia, PA—2 November 2011 – Theorem Clinical Research, previously Omnicare Clinical Research, announced today that Dr. John Potthoff, PhD has been appointed as the company’s President and CEO. He succeeds Dr. James M. Pusey, MD who has been elevated to Executive Chairman to the Board of Directors after two formative and successful years in the President and CEO role.

With 18 years of experience in the CRO industry, Dr. Potthoff has a strong drug development background. Most recently, he held the role of Chief Operating Officer at INC Research. There, he achieved record year-on-year profits, operationally integrated seven acquisitions, and also helped negotiate the sale of the business in 2010. Prior to INC Research, Dr. Potthoff was President and CEO of Tanistry, Inc., a niche CRO acquired by INC Research in 2001, and, also spent seven years with PPD.
