MedPageToday -- Living near a noisy road appears to predict higher stroke risk, particularly for older adults, Danish researchers found. Overall stroke risk rose a significant 14% for every 10 dB increase in residential exposure to road traffic noise and 27% per 10 dB among those over 64.5 years old, Mette Sørensen, MSc, PhD, of the Danish Cancer Society in Copenhagen, and colleagues reported online in the European Heart Journal.
