MediciNova, Inc. to Buy Avigen, Inc. (AVGN) for About $37 Million

Reuters -- Biopharmaceutical company MediciNova Inc said it would buy embattled rival Avigen Inc for about $1.24 a share in either cash or secured convertible notes.
