Examiner -- The Chinese herbal remedy, known as thunder god vine that comes from extract of the medicinal Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F (TWHF) plant has shown some benefit for treating autoimmune disorders. New study results, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, show that the Chinese herb provided more relief of joint swelling and pain than sulfasalazine, a sulfa drug used to treat rheumatoid arthritis.
