INCOGEN RELEASES NEW VERSION OF VIBE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT; FREE VIBE DEMO DOWNLOAD AND VIDEO AVAILABLE ONLINE
INCOGEN has announced a new version of the VIBE Software Development Kit (SDK) for their industry-leading data pipelining tool, VIBE. The VIBE SDK adds an integration Application Programming Interface (iAPI) to the existing popular VIBE bioinformatics package.
The iAPI allows users to integrate in-house and third-party tools and new data types into the VIBE framework. Users already familiar with the VIBE interface will find the same intuitive drag-and-drop workflow management and powerful workbench capabilities for high-throughput analysis. VIBE SDK is FREE to academic, government, and non-profit organizations.
INCOGEN released an updated version of the popular VIBE software last month. Version 2.6 brings new primer design tools, enhanced user customization, improved proxy and network configurations, integration with the Sun Grid Engine, and more. A free evaluation version is available on the VIBE product page, as well as a short introductory web video that provides an overview and demonstration of VIBE as well as a description of its value to users.
"When an IT organization implements VIBE, it gains several major benefits," says Dr. Maciek Sasinowski, CEO of INCOGEN. "An organization's research staff can analyze data according to their own schedule, making them more productive and allowing researchers to pursue their objectives more effectively. At the same time, the organization's IT staff doesn't have to support users on an individual basis--they can maintain a single, highly accessible infrastructure rather than multiple, repetitive systems."
