UF/Sid Martin Biotechnology Institute Brings In 10 New Resident Companies In Six Months

ALACHUA, Fla., Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sid Martin Biotechnology Institute, the leading biotechnology incubator at the University of Florida, is having a great year. The institute has welcomed 10 innovative companies into the incubator program in a six-month period. It is at 95 percent capacity level and has accumulated an additional $37,000 in sponsorship funding to date in 2016.

"We have recently welcomed to the institute more startups that have game-changing technologies," said Sid Martin Biotechnology Institute Director Mark S. Long. "They have come to the right place. The institute is an innovation engine able to offer entrepreneurs and inventors the tremendous resources of the University of Florida, including our experience in developing technology partnerships."
