   Material Handler

   Main Duties and Responsibilities  

 

   Support the timely processing material receipts of finished goods, raw materials and components into the Newark warehouse. Support may also include delivery of raw materials and components to packaging lines and production areas.  

 

   This support requires operation of a forklift and interfacing with various inventory and plant control systems to include the  

 

   SAP Warehouse Management System, the automated storage and retrieval systems (MHS), and knowledge of the computer aided picking activities to support business sales targets and shipping deadlines.  

   In addition to the general description of the parent profile role for this job function, the following summarize key result areas, specific accountabilities and / or tasks, etc. associated with this job title:  

   Assist with various material receipts to include inbound finished goods receipts, requiring breaking loads down and verifying contents  

 

   Pull and delivery materials for packaging based off of production schedule and BOM.  

 

   Responsible for replenishment of products into the various Kanban picking areas while maintaining quality and lot integrity  

 

   Operate all forklift equipment in a safe, efficient manner to complete daily shipping activities  

 

   Assist with various material receipts to include inbound finished goods receipts, requiring breaking loads down and verifying contents  

 

   Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy of finished product to include inventory reconciliation, random inventory verifications, and other inventory- related audits  

 

   Load and unload trucks according to AZ Standards of Care  

 

   Must have a good understanding of the various plant and business systems to include SAP Warehouse Management  

 

   System user interface to perform/support daily tasks, make inventory system updates, and report back to other systems.  

 

   Must have a good understanding of cGMP’s while following safe operating procedures and practicing ergonomic awareness.  

 

   Must understand and comply with SOX controls and standard operating procedures relative to receipts of finished goods, raw materials and components  

 

   Must be able to provide direction to others when in various rotational warehouse assignments  

 

   Monitor receiving shipping supplies and communicate needs in a timely manner  

 

   Monitor warehouse packaging supplies and communicate needs in a timely manner  

 

   Must follow site containment procedures  

Requirements

   Essential Requirements  

 
       
  •      High School Diploma    
  •    
  •      Must pass Forktruck Vision tests, conducted by the Medical Department to allow for safe operation of a forklift vehicle; tests are performed every three years    
  •    
  •      Demonstrates understanding and use of LEAN Principles to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement    
  •    
  •      Willingly adapts to change and embraces new ideas    
  •    
  •      Must demonstrate good math and problem solving skills    
  •    
  •      Proficient in the use of PC programs such as Outlook and other PC-based training applications    
  •    
  •      Highly motivated and able to work with minimal, direct supervision    
  •    
  •      Promotes and demonstrates the concept of teamwork    
  •    
  •      Must have good interpersonal, organizational, communication skills, and high attention to detail    
  •    
  •      Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative    
  •    
  •      Must have the ability to multi-task and set priorities    
  •  
   Desirable Requirements    
       
  •      Some forklift operation experience.    
  •    
  •      Must be certified to handle and ship products classified as dangerous goods    
  •    
  •      Knowledge of various cGMP’s and FDA regulations a plus.    
  •    
  •      Some inventory control background.    
  •    
  •      SAP Warehouse Management System    
  •    
  •      Pick-to-Light orderpicking

   This position will be a split shift-2:00pm to 12:00am or 2nd shift-4:00pm to 2:00am.
