Working as a key member of the centralised HR Services Team in-country, we are looking for an experienced HR practitioner to lead employee health, wellbeing and work/life programs across all US sites. This will include managing third-party vendors to ensure high quality, cost-effective delivery of health services and work/life activities. In addition, this role will lead the Leave of Absence team.

Overall our team’s objective is to provide efficient process execution, effective query resolution and accurate leave of absence data in support of an excellent customer experience.

As the USHealth & Wellbeing Lead in Gaithersburg, MD, you will act as subject matter expert on issues such as workplace injuries and illness and global health risk management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage third-party vendors for the wellness and work/life programs, on-site health clinics, fitness centers, and child care centers, ensuring delivery of services according to established contracts.
  • Use established metrics to monitor vendor performance, ensure quality delivery, and manage costs.
  • Leverage resources across US sites to publicize and encourage employee participation in wellness and work/life programs; lead site-based Wellness Committees.
  • Continuously evaluate wellness and work/life programs to ensure ongoing alignment to wellness strategy and business priorities and objectives; develop new programs as appropriate.
  • Lead Leave of Absence team who are accountable for effective leave coordination and return to work processes
  • Participate in adjudication of escalated disability cases.
  • Manage ADAAA requests; serve as member of Reasonable Accommodation Committee.
  • Participate on Global SHE team, providing the US Health and Wellbeing perspective on issues such as pandemic planning, medical surveillance, and global health risk management.
  • Collaborate as requested with US SHE team to provide subject matter expertise on reducing workplace injuries, illnesses, and their associated costs.
  • Monitor the external healthcare environment for best practice, ensure alignment of US programs, and share across US sites as appropriate.


Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
  • Occupational health experience
  • At least 3 years of experience managing third-party providers
  • At least 5 years of experience managing employee health, wellbeing, and work/life programs
  • Knowledge of US disability and benefits plans, policies, and processes
  • Highly developed communications, organization and interpersonal skills with ability to engage with senior level stakeholders
  • Keen attention to detail and focus on data accuracy while managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Understanding of common HR and service centre enabling technologies – e.g. case management, telephony and online user portals – and typical data integrations required
  • Ability to manage competing tasks efficiently and prioritize workload within a matrixed team environment
  • Enjoys working as part of a lively and hard-working team, performing together under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to maintain highly confidential data

Desired requirements

  • Board certification as an Occupational Health Nurse Specialist (COHN-S) desired
  • Board certification as a Medical/Disability Case Manager (CM) desired
  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or Business Administration with a clinical background desiredLicensed
  • Professional Registered Nurse desired
  • Significant experience working on process improvement initiatives is desirable
