Building on its strong presence in transfusion medicine, Novartis Diagnostics is creating innovative diagnostics to detect, prevent and predict disease and to improve medical outcomes.
The incumbent is responsibile of providing the highest quality service and support to Novartis Blood Testing customers at the customer facility and by telephone. In addition, the TAS II will follow the regional marketing and sales organization directives in order to technically position Novartis' products with the technical decision makers at all levels within the Blood Testing marketplace. 

***This is a regional/home-office based position, located on the East Coast (preferred) or Midwest near a major airport hub.

 - Adhere to procedures and protocols outlined by the Novartis Technical Support organization and Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics. Provide Customer Service/Account Management/Project Implementation 
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, participates in customer site evaluations, upgrades of software, training, product installations, preventive maintenance, work flow analysis; technical reviews, trouble shooting, data collection, and ongoing service and support for all equipment at the customer facility and via telephone. 
Escalation of Customer Needs - openly communicate with other groups within Novartis Blood Testing to assure rapid resolution of issues raised by customers. Business Development - will communicate integrally with Global Support and Training (GS&T) and Account Managers regarding product performance, participation in development teams and process development and improvements.
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related scientific discipline.
- High-Level of performance as a TAS I and/or 3-5 years experience in blood testing customer service/technical support.
-Demonstrated project management skills
-Strong presentation skills
-Excellent organizational, record keeping and inventory skills
-Knowledge of GMP, ISO and other certifying agency policies and regulations.
-Proficient with Microsoft applications and familiar with computerized call handling systems preferred.
-Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
-Self-motivated and self-directed, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
-Position will be based in the field with up to 70% travel required. Candidate must have ability to travel outside assigned geographic area. As needed, will cover additional geographic regions to facilitate significant service requirement of customer base.*
