Job Description

The Seattle Genetics Quality Assurance team is dedicated to making the right product quality decisions for the protection of our patients.  The QA intern position is responsible for supporting manufacturing Quality Assurance staff with documentation scanning, storage and archival. Seattle Genetics summer internship program is designed to offer opportunities to students who are interested in exploring the biotech industry and building their scientific skills. Students will work under one practicing professional who provide guidance and mentorship during the 10- to 12-week internship. Internships will take place at Seattle Genetics headquarters in Bothell, WA. This position is paid and is not for academic credit.

Responsibilities:

   
        
  • Support Manufacturing Quality Assurance staff in the following functions:       
             
    • Organize and archive Quality documentation (both paper and electronic)
    •        
    • Organize and track CMO documentation to support Qualified Person requests
    •        
    • Scan and file batch record documentation
    •        
    • Lot file compilation
    •        
    • Genealogy preparation
    •        
    • Track Quality metrics via excel
    •        
    • Generate Quality Metric reports
    •        
    • Perform Data entry verification (Process monitoring database)
    •

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must be in the process of earning a Bachelor's or graduate degree
  • Must have completed at least two full years of study
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Detail oriented team player with effective planning, organization, and execution skills
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external personnel essential
  • Experience with electronic documentation management systems (EDMS)
  • Strong computer skills with Word and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively at a fast pace with cross functional departments
  • Innovative, proactive, and resourceful; committed to quality and continuous improvement
