As a Senior Director of Marketing, US Lynparza Brand Team in Gaithersburg, MD, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. North American Commercial is the 'face' of AstraZeneca and MedImmune to our many healthcare clients. They represent many of the most well recognized and respected products in the industry, and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals.
AstraZeneca's vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm, with the aim of bringing six new cancer medicines to patients between 2013 and 2020. A broad pipeline of next-generation medicines is focused principally on four disease areas - breast, ovarian, lung and hematological cancers. As well as other tumor types, these are being targeted through four key platforms - immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, and antibody drug conjugates, underpinned by personalized healthcare and biomarker technologies.
The Senior Director of Marketing, US Lynparza Brand Team will be responsible for leading a team of 4 marketers and ~20 cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute on a robust commercial strategy for Lynparza, a key medicine in the AstraZeneca oncology portfolio. Accountable for developing and managing the US P&L for Lynparza. Collaborating effectively with key stakeholders including colleagues from the Global, Sales, Medical, Diagnostics, Commercial Operations, Managed Markets and Corporate Affairs teams. Leading the US input into Life Cycle Management (LCM) plan for Lynparza and future assets in the Women’s Cancer portfolio. Sitting on the Women’s Cancer leadership team and play a key role in shaping the overall strategy and culture for the Women’s Cancer franchise.
Additionally, the Senior Director of Marketing, US Lynparza Brand Team will oversee the development of overarching HCP and consumer marketing strategies and tactics, including creation of brand strategy plan, launch plans, and competitive readiness plans. Monitor and diagnose brand performance. Lead partnership efforts with Global leaders to define lifecycle priorities, inform labeling recommendations, and share learnings across markets. Lead quarterly and annual forecasting work for Lynparza, in conjunction with the Insights and Finance teams; develop quarterly performance updates in preparation for Earnings. Develop and deliver key brand presentations to senior leadership and to the Women’s Cancer field organization. Manage, coach, and develop team of marketers.
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- 7 years of pharmaceutical or related experience in oncology marketing (US and/or global)
- Exhibit high capability at working collaboratively, thinking strategically
- Comprehensive understanding of drug development and commercialization process
- Proven competency in marketing, both HCP and Consumer
- MBA in relevant field
- Experience in US marketing within Oncology
