AIRM has a world-class R&D team, and is pursuing a diverse range of disease indications, ranging from macular degeneration (currently in clinical trials) and other ocular indications to vascular and autoimmune disease. We are seeking a highly motivated Stem Cell Research Associate, Translational Research.

Essential Responsibilities:

•   Performs experiments and process research and/or development in collaboration with others
•   Makes detailed observations, analyzes data and interprets results
•   Investigates, creates and develops new methods and technologies for project advancement
•   Maintains various cell lines including pluripotent cells in culture using specified procedures to support team experiments
•   Participates in and contributes to experimental design
•   Makes recommendations to changes for experimental procedures to improve quality or productivity
•   Understands and effectively conducts biological laboratory experiments utilizing internal and published procedures
•   Maintains records in notebook and electronic format according to Company policies
•   Contributes to preparation of technical reports
•   Ensures availability of all experimental materials
•   Keeps current on published literature relevant to the work to increase knowledge and stay up-to-date with developments in the field
•   Understands the proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment and record keeping
•   Communicates with other members of multidisciplinary teams



•   BS or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience
•   Knowledge of cell biology or related field
•   2+ years of extensive cell culture experience with various types of mammalian cells; solid working knowledge and understanding of aseptic techniques and cell culture practices
•   Working knowledge of RNA isolation, PCR, immunostaining, flow cytometry, microscopy
•   Solid working knowledge of applicable scientific disciplines
•   Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
•   Ability to work with a variety of personnel including staff, researchers, and supervisors


•   Experience with stem cells including pluripotent cells
