Job Description

Summary:
Provide technical design, configuration and execution support for sales technology, manage technical specifications, design throughout the lifecycle of technology that supports field sales, including primarily Veeva and associated modules and platforms. Understand and provide support for data integration designs that impact salesforce platforms. Provide internal technology expertise, and manage vendor technical resources to drive technology use and investment forward in a sustainable, consistent manner leveraging cloud and software as a service.

Responsibilities:
* Deep technical expertise on salesforce.com and/or Veeva, understanding of the real world use of salesforce automation and business processes.
* Comfortable with ambiguity.
* Strong ability to balance structure & discipline with agility in the delivery or projects.
* Strong communication skills, able to translate technical concepts to non technical terams and stakeholders.
* Proactive; Anticipates project risks and issues and communicates or resolves effectively.
* Hands-on configuration and admin experience with Veeva Commercial suite (CRM, Vault, Network) or Salesforce.com Must also understand integration capabilities across the products in the suite and base salesforce.com functionality.
* Lead external technical/solution delivery resources and vendors as part of the Veeva platform and other sales technology areas.
* Manage transition and knowledge transfer to post-production support; support Run team where necessary to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
* Participate in requirement gathering efforts to provide feedback on technical feasibility and viability in additional to best practices for Veeva.
* Ability to develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation within the boundaries of industry compliance regulation.
* Develop the necessary documentation for IT solutions projects (e.g technical requirements, data flow diagrams).
* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required:
* Relevant Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, MIS, Life Sciences, Business; or equivalent experience.
* A minimum of 3-8 years relevant administrative and technical configuration experience with Veeva or Salesforce.com
* Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment.

Preferred:
* Specific industry experience in Life Sciences or regulated industries, especially in the areas of Sales Operations, Medical Affairs and Data Management.
* Technical hands-on expertise with the following applications: Veeva, CRM, Veeva Vault, Informatica Cloud
* Certifications in Veeva and Salesforce.com
* Strong knowledge of SDLC and agile development concepts.
* Strong business acumen to understand functional business processes.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Demonstrated ability/experience in thinking strategically but have the ability to get into details and is detail-oriented.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
